IRIS - Interfaculty Student Performance Indicator

The IRIS indicator measures the efficiency and effectiveness with which students enrolled at the University of Genoa pass their exams in the first year.

In particular, IRIS measures the ratio between the result achieved by the student and the maximum expected result in their Area.

The IRIS indicator should not be attributed with meanings that go beyond its actual purpose, which is to provide an 'objective representation' of the average performance of students at the end of their initial year in the 11 Areas of the University.

The publication only includes results related to the secondary schools from which the highest number of freshmen come, for each Area and for the entire University. The IRIS values are available to interested parties at the Orientation, Career Service, and Inclusion Service, at Piazza della Nunziata 6, Genoa.
