Structure of university paths After obtaining a high school diploma, the student can choose to enroll in a single-cycle master's degree program with a 5/6 year duration and acquisition of 300/360 University Educational Credits (CFUs), or can enroll in a 3-year bachelor's degree program that involves the acquisition of 180 CFUs.After obtaining the bachelor's degree, the student can choose to enroll in a master's course (1-year duration for a total of 60 CFUs) or enroll in a 2-year master's degree program and acquisition of 120 CFUs.Those who have obtained a 2-year master's degree or a single-cycle master's degree can enter the world of work or continue their university education by choosing from second-level master's course (duration 1 year for a total of 60 credits), specialization courses (minimum 60 credits), PhD (minimum 3 years). CFUs are acquired by passing the exam regardless of the grade which varies from a minimum of 18/30 to a maximum of 30/30 with honors.
