National and European legislation supports the employment inclusion of people with disabilities. This positive action has resulted in the activation of support services, vocational opportunities through targeted employment, as well as tax breaks for companies and public bodies that hire people with ascertained disabilities. Briefly, we would like to point out the regulatory framework to be considered in continuous evolution.

We invite you to consult both the services proposed for students with disabilities by the University of Genoa and those offered by the Liguria Region and the employment agencies in the area for people with disabilities.

The universities play an important role in the orientation and support of students wishing to enter the world of work. The University of Genoa promotes the job placement of students through targeted services such as:

• Curriculum vitae: revision service and drafting suggestions;
• Individual counselling for job orientation;
• Skills balance sheet;
• Job orientation workshops and webinars;
• Job orientation seminars;
• Career services for international students.

The Liguria Region has set up a webpage dedicated to the topic of Targeted Placement in order to guide people with disabilities who are looking for employment opportunities. In the  dedicated section there are the contact details of the contact persons of the cities of Genoa, Savona, Imperia and La Spezia, the regulatory sources,  and useful indications for the drafting of the Curriculum Vitae and the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions).

Employment agencies have long played a strategic role in guidance and intermediation between labour supply and demand. The agencies, which can be easily found on the web at the link anpal.gov.it/agenzie-per-il-lavoro, facilitate the job placement of people with ascertained disabilities; some were set up with this specific purpose, dealing only with people with disabilities.
