FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND/OR STUDENTS WITH NON-ITALIAN QUALIFICATIONS

The deadlines listed in the table below refer to students enrolling in a three-year degree course, a single-cycle degree course or a master's degree course.
If you are enrolling in a course with programmed access: always refer to the deadlines listed in the calls for admission

WARNING: the following conditions must be met for confirmation of enrollment:

correctly submitted pre-enrollment application;
positive outcome on the submission of final documentation;

Furthermore:

in the case of open access courses taught in Italian: language proficiency requirements met;
in the case of a course with scheduled access: useful placement in the ranking.

ONLY FOR RESIDENT STUDENTS () with non-Italian qualifications**	PRE-EVALUATION ON UNIGEAPPLY - spring session	opening: 9th April 2026 closing: for access to master's degrees: 28th August 28 2026 for single-cycle degrees and master's degrees: 25th September 25 2026 Please note: in the case of courses with scheduled access, dedicated closure is set two weeks before the last date of registration for the entry test.

FOR ALL STUDENTS () with non-Italian qualifications for open access courses taught in Italian*	Uploading the ITALIAN language CERTIFICATE held for final verification and exemption from the language test	Check the time windows in which you can upload certificates, go to the dedicated page
FOR ALL STUDENTS ()*	ENROLLMENT confirmation of pre-enrollment on Unige Online Services	Starting: 15th July 2026 Closure for bachelor's degrees (lauree) and single-cycle 5-6 year degrees (lauree magistrali a ciclo unico): 5th October 2026 (from 6th October to 5th November 2026 with late fee) Closure for Master's Degrees (lauree magistrali): 30th November 2026 (until 10th March 2027 with late fee) WARNING: Student visa applicants are not subject to late payment if they complete the operation within 45 days of arrival in Italy

(*) Deadlines and actions applicable only in the case of students applying for a visa. The students therefore must submit the visa application on Universitaly.it for A.Y. 2026/27.

(**) Deadlines and actions applicable only in the case of resident students, understood as Italians, EU citizens (residents everywhere) and non-EU citizens already regularly resident in Italy.
(***) Deadlines and actions applicable to all students: visa applicants, non-EU students already regularly residing in Italy, EU students and Italian students.

If you are interested in:

Course change (from UniGe to UniGe)
Transfer from another Italian University (incoming)

which involve an enrollment process and you have a non-Italian qualification, you will have to follow the same steps as new students:

step 1 Unigeapply
step 2 pre-enrollment
step 3 verification of final documentation (even if already submitted in previous years)
step 4 enrollment confirmation

A submission to Unigeapply is therefore possible within the deadlines dedicated to course change and transfer (in case of Unigeapply - spring session selection already closed, the student must contact the Office for a personalized submission).

Please note: in the case of courses with scheduled access and for access to years after the first regulated by a specific call, you must always follow the instructions in the call.
