The academic year 2019 ended with the signing of a new agreement between the UniGe and the Fincantieri company, allowing the creation of four new Ph.D. projects each lasting 3 years.

The project's themes look to the future, bringing to light the new nature that is increasingly characterizing UniGe: multidisciplinarity.

The topics covered are:

• study of risks and cybersecurity techniques on board ship and at production sites
• strategies and methods for reducing hull weight in line with the latest developments in shipbuilding regulations
• study of tools and methods for the design of electrical systems onboard ship
