Guidelines for initiating procedures for the recognition of teaching and traineeships

Validation of 24 CFU

Only those who enrol in the 60 CFU Pathways can receive validation of the 24 CFU (DM 616/2017), if in possession of the relevant official attestation from the university or universities where they were obtained, as follows,s: 17 CFU of teaching (14 of transversal activities and 3 of disciplinary activities) + 7 CFU of internship (5 direct + 2 indirect). The details of which activities are validated can be deduced from the calendars, transversal and of each class, published on the reference site: activities NOT identified with a green symbol represent validated teaching, therefore they must NOT be attended.

The provisional validation is carried out by the Centre on the basis of the following criteria:

subject to the verification of the validity of the 24 cfu certificate issued by the university or universities where they were obtained.

The final validation will be communicated to enrolled students at a later date.

Recognition of activities not acquired within the 24 CFUs [ONLY FOR NON-CERTIFIED 24 CFUs].

Only for those who have NOT obtained the 24 CFU certification, it is possible to request recognition of disciplinary activities, provided they are duly documented and within the limits set out in the table below.

For PhD students and those who are enrolled in the third year of the PhD programme, teaching credits may be recognised for the transversal skills acquired in the PhD programme starting from the 2018/2019 academic year: it is not possible to carry out the assessment in the absence of a document containing the transversal skills that the student must provide.

The number of credits recognisable for each type of Course is detailed in the following summary table:

Recognition of apprenticeship ONLY FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE THE 24 CFUs or have not obtained their recognition

It is possible, for those who do not have the 24 CFUs or have not obtained their recognition, to submit an application for recognition of service activities for the purposes of apprenticeships - based on the enrolment pathway - if they have one year (equal to 180 days of service, even if not continuous, carried out at a state school or an ordinary school) or lesser periods, carried out either in the specific class for which the qualification was chosen or on another class of competition, according to the following schedules:

The following information must be entered in the form:

PLEASE NOTE: documentation certifying the periods of service for which recognition is sought must be attached

It is possible to apply for recognition of curricular traineeships carried out during an academic career (e.g. during the Master's degree) only if carried out at accredited schools and only if the training project clearly indicates the number of hours dedicated to direct practical training. In this case, the calculation will be based on 12 hours per 1 CFU. Otherwise, 25 hours will be considered for 1 CFU.

The recognition of the curricular traineeship must be requested by filling in the form no later than 27 August 2025; the following documentation must be included in the form:

  • The training project (if available);
  • Company assessment questionnaire, compulsory for students graduating from the University of Genoa.
  • Official certification of the curricular traineeship activity carried out (not self-certification) issued by the university of origin;
  • Certification of the traineeship in one's academic career.

For those enrolled at PF60 who have presented a request for recognition of curricular traineeships carried out in previous careers and at the same time a request for recognition of teaching years by presenting a declaration of partial years (up to 179 days), it is possible to add together the recognitions up to a maximum of 5 CFU of the 15 CFU of direct traineeship.

N.B.: Please note that any substitutions carried out during the period of the direct traineeship are not subject to recognition but are counted as hours of direct traineeship, regardless of the type of course attended, provided that the course itself includes direct traineeship activities.
