Information on the 2026 single-session state examination

Applications to sit the 2026 single-session State Examination must be submitted by 12:00 on 15 September 2026.
Please read the instructions in the Notice carefully D.D.G. No. 3395/2026.

The qualifying examination consists of an interview on the work placement activities undertaken and the resolution of a practical case encountered during the work placement carried out either during the degree programme or subsequently. Knowledge of the rules of professional conduct is also assessed.

The single examination session begins on 24 September 2026.

The schedule for further examination dates will be determined in September 2026 by the Examination Board and will be published on the website of the Department of Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineering - DICCA.

Each candidate is assigned a registration number; this number may be used for certain stages of the examination process, such as notifications and/or the publication of examination results.

Instructions for submitting an application to sit the professional qualification examination

Candidates who already hold UniGePass credentials may submit their application via the link https://servizionline.unige.it/web-esterni2/it/#/esamedistato and clicking on ‘Access the application submission page’

Candidates who have never held UniGePass credentials must, before using the procedure at the link above, create a user account via the link https://servizionline.unige.it/web-esterni2/it/#/registrazioneutente and clicking on “Proceed”
