Information on the second session of the state examinations 2026

Applications to sit the first session of the 2026 State Examination must be submitted no later than 12:00 on 21/10/2026. Please read carefully the instructions set out in Notice D.D.G. No. 2379/2026.

The qualifying examinations for the professions of Geologist and Junior Geologist, first and second sessions of 2026, will consist of the tests set out in Presidential Decree No. 328/2001

The state examination for the profession of Geologist (second session 2026) will begin on 16 November 2026; the state examination for the profession of Junior Geologist (2nd session 2026) will begin on 20 November 2026. 

The timetable for further examination dates will be determined in November 2026 by the Examination Board and will be published on the webpage https://distav.unige.it/notices

Each candidate is assigned a registration number; this number may be used for certain stages of the process, such as summoning candidates and/or publishing the results of the examination papers.

Candidates and candidates who have never held UniGePass credentials before using the procedure at the above link must create a user by using the link https://servizionline.unige.it/web-esterni2/it/#/registrazioneutente and clicking on "Proceed"
