Information on the State Examination, Second Session 2026

Applications to sit the first session of the 2026 State Examination must be submitted by 12:00 on 21 October 2026 . Please read the instructions set out in Notice D.D.G. No. 2379/2026 carefully.

Pursuant to Article 1, point 2 of Ministerial Decree No. 570/2022, the qualifying examination for the profession of Pharmacist consists of a single oral examination designed to assess the candidate’s general knowledge, as well as their knowledge, skills and competences relating to the professional profile of a pharmacist, with particular reference to the following areas: professional ethics; the management and operation of the pharmaceutical service; administration/dispensing, storage and preparation of medicines; services provided within the National Health Service; health information and education for the public; business management of the pharmacy; and all services provided for by current legislation.

The State Examination for Pharmacist – Session II 2026 will begin on 16 November 2026; the schedule of examination sessions and any further information for candidates will be published in November 2026 on the webpage https://www.difar.unige.it/esamidistato

Each candidate is assigned a registration number; this number may be used for certain stages of the process, such as notifications and/or the publication of examination results.
