UniGe has implemented the request of the Directorate for Research and Innovation of the European Commission made to all public institutions to have a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) to access research funding under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme.

In synergy with the forecasts of the European Commission, also the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PNRR) addresses gender inequality in a cross-cutting manner, adding to the three strategic axes shared at European level (digitalization and innovation, ecological transition and social inclusion) three cross-cutting priorities, including that of promoting gender equality, as well as reducing generational disparities and promoting the rebalancing of territorial gaps.
