From 15 to 28 June 2021 (12 noon) those interested in developing their own business idea and new entrepreneurs who have recently started a new business in the ICT, Life Sciences & Med Tech, Clean-tech & Energy and Industrial sectors will be able to take part in the business plan competition free of charge.

As usual, the tandem between SMARTCup Liguria and Start Cup UniGe, the competition organized by the University of Genoa, continues. In fact, within the call for entries there is a "StartCup UniGe special section" that provides cashprizes to concretely support its students, doctoral students, postgraduates, research-doctoral fellows (no more than three years old) in setting up an innovative start-up. The UniGe prizes will be awarded to the first three classified having the requirements, among the 16 projects selected by the jury.

Prizes:

1st place: prize of €8,000.00

2nd place: prize of € 6,500.00

3rd place: prize of €5,500.00.

Applications can be received from June 15, 2021 with a submission deadline of 12 noon on June 28, 2021.

All innovative business initiatives that submit an application will be able to participate in the Academy of SMARTcup Liguria 2021 with the aim of defining and structuring their business plan. The Academy consists of fifteen days of full immersion (5-24 July) in which proponents will be accompanied in the creation of their business plan, which will be submitted to a jury of experts from the academic, business and financial territory participating in the initiative, which will select the finalists for the "elevator pitch" at the end of October.
