Scholarships for a postgraduate internship abroad, within the European Union - Announcement 2025

The University of Genoa is offering its graduates 30 scholarships with a value of €6,000 each, for a internship abroad, in one of the member states of the European Union.

The organisation in which the traineeship is to be carried out must be chosen autonomously by the applicant.

  • The traineeship may be carried out in a Member State of the European Union (E.U.) or the European Economic Area (E.E.S.) with the exclusion of Italy;
  • to take place in any public or private entity that can host a trainee, in particular public or private organisations such as universities, non-profit organisations, NGOs, private companies, professional firms in any field, etc. are allowed. (Italian diplomatic representations abroad and the Italian Cultural Institutes are excluded);
  • provide for a total weekly commitment of no more than 40 hours;
  • provide for a total commitment of at least 600 hours;
  • have a start date between 23 February 2026 and 30 September 2026 and end no later than 26 February 2027

The main requirements for submitting an application are:

  • a degree obtained at the University of Genoa no more than 3 years after the deadline of the Call for Participation;
  • not being enrolled in any university specialisation school or PhD programme at the time of submitting the application and until the end of the internship
