What part-time collaborations are

The University’s student collaboration activities consist of support tasks carried out within various university facilities and include practical duties useful to academic life: from support to general services (with the exclusion of teaching activities, examinations, and any administrative responsibility) to assistance in libraries, study spaces and departments, and informational activities for students and users.

The collaboration activity is regulated pursuant to Art. 11 of Legislative Decree No. 68 of 29.03.2012, D.P.C.M. 30.04.1997 and 09.04.2001, which establish the principles of equal treatment regarding the right to university study, and Art. 18 of the University of Genoa Student Regulations.

The compensation for the collaboration is set at €8.00 per hour; this remuneration is exempt from income tax (I.R.P.E.F.) pursuant to Art. 11, paragraph 3, of Legislative Decree No. 68 of 29.03.2012.
Each university structure participating in the selection has indicated the types of student roles required, specifying the number of collaborators, the number of hours offered, and any specific requirements, such as degree programme. These requests are fully listed in Annex A.

This information page — which does not include all requesting structures — provides details useful to students in making their choice, such as the location of the collaboration (not all structures are in Genoa; some are in Savona or Imperia), the skills required, the activity period, and the expected weekly commitment. The information sheets also include a description of the required activities, both in practical terms and with regard to learning opportunities. Students are therefore advised to read the document for the structures they are interested in.

Please note that these information sheets do not in any way constitute a commitment or an obligation on the part of the structures; their sole purpose is to provide useful information to students and prevent situations in which the selected candidate later proves incompatible with the structure’s needs (for example, having availability only in the afternoon while the structure is open exclusively in the morning).
All interested students are invited to carefully read the Regulation of collaboration activities before submitting their application. The information provided on this page must always be supplemented with the more detailed provisions of the Regulation. Additional clarifications are available in the FAQ.

Who can participate and how?

Applications may be submitted by all University of Genoa students enrolled full time for the 2025/2026 academic year and who meet the requirements set out in the Regulation.

The following students are excluded from participation:

  • Those who, by the application deadline, have not obtained at least 2/5 of the CFU required by the approved study plan for the 2024/2025 academic year.
  • Those enrolled part time or in single courses.
  • Those who are beneficiaries of a scholarship.
  • Those enrolled in the first year of a bachelor’s degree or a single cycle master’s degree (unless they already hold a bachelor’s degree).
  • Those who already hold a degree at the same level as the programme they are enrolled in, or, in the case of a foreign degree, have requested its equivalency.
  • Those subject to ongoing disciplinary measures.
  • Those who have outstanding student fee payments.

Application procedure and deadlines

Applications may be submitted exclusively online, in the “Part time Collaboration” section, by clicking on New request (button at the bottom right).
The application period runs from Tuesday, 27 January 2026 to Wednesday, 25 February 2026.

CFU to be declared

Students will be asked to enter the CFU earned by 30 September 2025.
CFU related to internships recorded by 30 November 2025 are also counted.
CFU from other activities (exams, certifications, etc.) recorded after 30 September 2025 are NOT counted.

The official reference is the recording date. If exams have been passed but not yet recorded, the student must send a self certification of CFU to: 150ore@segreterie.unige.it

Important: the CFU to be declared are those earned throughout the entire academic career for the degree programme in which you are currently enrolled, not only those from the most recent study plan.
Example: if in 2025/26 you are enrolled in the third year, you must sum all CFU earned since the first year. If you earned 54 CFU in year one and 48 CFU in year two, you must enter 102 CFU.

Students enrolled in the first year of a master’s degree must consider the CFU earned in their bachelor’s degree by 30 September 2025. If the bachelor’s degree was completed at another university, they must send an official transcript showing CFU and recording dates to 150ore@segreterie.unige.it.

How to check your CFU

We recommend using the online certificate generation service, especially the Exam Transcript (second item in the list), which provides the list of exams ordered by recording date, with the corresponding CFU.

The online weighted average service does not include pass/fail certifications and may therefore return a value lower than the actual one.
For further questions, please contact the office using the details at the bottom of the page.

Useful information for students currently engaged in the collaboration

Students selected in the previous round (2024/2025 academic year) who are currently carrying out the collaboration may continue until 31 March 2026 inclusive

After this date, if they have not completed their hours, they must proceed with the online Interruption action (NOT withdrawal) to allow payment for the hours completed up to that date.

Training courses on safety and privacy

Every student who has been selected and accepted the collaboration must, during the initial activity period, complete the following mandatory training courses and pass the related final tests:
