Certificates

As of January 1, 2012, certificates will no longer be issued to be presented at public administration bodies or to private managers of public services.

Users need to use self-certification. In any case, on all certificates issued to the public, under penalty of nullity, the words "this certificate cannot be presented to the bodies of the public administration or to private managers of public services" will be affixed.

The ways to demand certificates at the Secretariat counters are:

• in person, with a valid identity document
• By delegating another person. You need to present a written proxy that must be accompanied by a photocopy of the ID. 

Certificates for foreign use for which a signature deposited in the Prefecture is required can only be signed by appropriate officials.  

We suggest calling or writing an email highlighting the need before going to your Student Secretary's Office Sportello studenti - Segreterie | UniGe to pick up the certificate. 

You can print self-certification containing your university career data via Online Student Services Servizi online per studenti e laureati | Servizi Online (unige.it) by selecting the Self-Certification entry.

Public Administrations can check and verify the truthfulness of their content. 

Students who have obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree (laurea magistrale/specialistica) according to the D.M. 509/99 or D.M.270/04 system can print the Diploma Supplement. Students must access Online Student Service and select the entry Diploma Suplement. This document describes the curriculum of studies and the degree. It is available in Italian and English.  

Students who have obtained a University Master's degree can request the Diploma Supplement by contacting the Student Secretarial Service - PhD, Postgraduate Schools, State and Master's Examinations Office - Settore Dottorato di ricerca, Scuole di specializzazione, Esami di stato e Master (Email: carrieremaster@unige.it)
