Every year the University of Genoa, in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Technology, the National Institute of Nuclear Physics, and the National Research Council, organises GenOA week, a week of initiatives to reflect on scientific communication and the challenges of Open Science.

GenOA week is a national event, which attracts the attention of teachers and researchers from all over Italy, it draws on the concomitant International Open Access Week, adhering to the themes proposed annually: the theme for 2024 is Community over Commercialization.
