G7 and G20 Youth Engagement Group: the Young Ambassadors Society is selecting the Italian Delegation for Y7 and Y20

In collaboration with the Sherpa Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Young Ambassadors Society (YAS) is selecting the delegates and delegates who in 2024 will join the Italian Delegation to Youth 7 (Y7) and Youth 20 (Y20), the official G20 and G7 youth engagement groups. The Y20 and Y7 bring together young international leaders under-30.

The work of the engagement groups develops over several months during the year and culminates in the Y20 and Y7 Summits where a Final Communiqué containing the proposals of the young delegations is drafted and then forwarded to the Presidents and Heads of State. As part of the Y7 Italy process, YAS is also proud to launch the first edition of the Global Youth Leader Program (GYL). The program is implemented with the contribution of YAS institutional and private partners and consists of a series of interactive sessions during which more than 100 Italian and international under-35 leaders will work together to create concrete policies to build a more inclusive and sustainable society.

In 2024, the Y7 Summit will be held in May in Italy, while the Y20 Summit will be held in Brazil.

The work will focus on the following priority areas:

• environmental sustainability and climate change
• inclusion and equal opportunities
• innovation and digital transformation
• new skills, entrepreneurship, and the future of work

To apply to be part of the Italian Y20/Y7 delegation and the GYL program, among other criteria, candidates must:

• be 18-30 years old (up to 35 for the GYL program)

• have excellent command of the English language
• have volunteer, study, entrepreneurial or work experience related to at least one of the priority areas
• have passion toward the topics covered and to work in a team in a multicultural environment
• be able to commit to doing the work before and after the Summit
