ANVUR assesses the quality of the research results of universities and their internal (Departments and assimilated structures) and Research Institutions, mainly through peer review.The evaluation is carried out taking into account the 17 areas of evaluation.What are the research quality evaluation exercisesThe first research quality evaluation exercise was the one covering the period 2004-2010 (VQR 2004-2010), initiated by Ministerial Decree 17 of July 15, 2011.The second research quality evaluation exercise was the one covering the period 2011-2014 (VQR 2011-2014), initiated by Ministerial Decree of June 27, 2015.The third exercise to assess the quality of research, as well as technology transfer and exploitation of research results (so-called third mission), covering the 2015-19 time frame (VQR 2015-19), was initiated by DM 1110/2019 and supplemented by DM 444/2020.Who are the evaluatorsThe evaluation of research products submitted by stakeholders is carried out by the group of expert evaluators (GEV), highly qualified Italian and foreign scholars, chosen on the basis of international experience in research and evaluation, appointed by the ANVUR Governing Council and distinguished by scientific area.Why the VQR is importantHaving high results in the VQR is important because the results obtained contribute to determining the allocation of the premium share of the Ordinary Financing Fund (FFO).To learn moreQuality of research and third mission in the University of Genoa.
