The CISI – the International Centre for Italian Studies at the University of Genoa concludes its 2026 summer courses with “From the Gulf of Tigullio to the World”, a public event dedicated to Ligurian emigration.

Through letters and documents preserved in the Ligurian Archive of Folk Writing, Antonio Gibelli and Carlo Stiaccini recount stories of people who emigrated from Tigullio and the ties they maintained with their homeland. The journalist Erika Dellacasa will also be taking part in the event.

The event also provides an opportunity to bid farewell to the international students who took part in the CISI 2026 summer courses.
