The University of Genoa is one of the partners in TEF-UI (Transformative Entrepreneurship for Futures-ready Ulysseus Innovators), the project selected under the 2025 call of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology – Higher Education Initiative, the European programme dedicated to strengthening the capacity for innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education institutions. The project was chosen from among 138 proposals submitted in response to the call.

TEF-UI was established within the European university alliance Ulysseus and involves the eight partner universities: Universidad de Sevilla (Spain), University of Genoa (Italy), Université Côte d’Azur (France), Technical University of Košice (Slovakia), MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® (Austria), Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), University of Münster (Germany) and University of Montenegro, together with the associate partners Baumstark and Impact Hub Tirol.

The aim of the project is to develop new models of entrepreneurship training for students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), by integrating Futures Literacy – the skills that help to understand, imagine and address complex future scenarios.

Over the course of the two-year project, teaching tools, training programmes and activities aimed at students, lecturers and university staff will be developed, with the aim of strengthening entrepreneurial skills and the ability to transform innovative ideas into concrete solutions to social, environmental and economic challenges. The project will also build on the Innovation Hubs already active within the Ulysseus alliance and promote collaboration with the European innovation ecosystem.

For the University of Genoa, participation in TEF-UI represents a further step towards consolidating collaboration within the Ulysseus alliance and strengthening the European dimension of education, innovation and knowledge transfer.
