The University of Genoa, which is already present in Africa with several solidarity programmes in Tanzania, Angola, Mozambique and Ethiopia, together with Medici in Africa onlus and the Genoa Medical Association, is supporting a project to build a health centre to support the population of Tambacounda (Senegal).

The project, developed with the collaboration of Fondazione Carige, involves the rotation of two doctors per month who will also train local staff.
