Four civil service projects with UniGe

The University of Genoa proposes for 2026 four projects of universal civil service, for a total of 21 places:

  • Young people inside: universities, prisons and rights on the way
  • Open Libraries UniGe
  • UniGe and territories: social impact 
  • UniGeSeniors and spaces of knowledge: paths of culture and intergenerational exchange

Who can apply and when?

Persons between the ages of 18 and 28 can submit their application online by 8 April 2026 at 14:00.

The start of activities is scheduled for September-October 2026.

What commitment and benefits does community service in UniGe entail?

Civilian service is an opportunity for growth and training. For a commitment of 25 hours a week on 5 days a week for a year, you can take advantage of:

  • a tax-free reimbursement of€519.47 per month
  • Open Badge andcertifications of the skillsacquired, usable in the labour market
  • eventual recognition of training credits for one's own study
  • eventual recognition of the Civil Service course as a curricular traineeship

The year of Civil Service is also redeemable for social security purposes and guarantees those who complete the course 15% of reserved places in all public competitions, thus representing the ideal pathway for those who wish to work in public administration in the future.
