Prospective students interested in enrolling on the Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics can already access the free guidance and preparation resources made available via the national portal www.semestreaperto-medodovet.it.

The University of Genoa is part of the national organisational model coordinated by CRUI and implemented by CISIA, which supports the new open semester (often also referred to as the “filter semester”) scheduled for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The portal offers the following free of charge:

• self-assessment exercises in Biology, Chemistry and Physics;
• MOOCs dedicated to initial preparation;
• structured exercises and mock exams, made available progressively in line with the national timetable.

These tools are intended for guidance, self-assessment and to support preparation; they do not replace the assessments scheduled as part of the open semester programme.

Access to the services is free of charge and requires prior registration on the national portal.
