The 2nd edition of the PhD and Professionals Cruise School, which took place from 18 to 25 January 2025 and was organised by the Department of Political and International Sciences - DiSPI of the University of Genoa, under the guidance of Roberto Revetria, UniGe lecturer in industrial mechanical systems, ended with great success. The closing event was held in the presence of the Rector of the University of Genoa and the President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, testifying to the importance and international relevance of the initiative.

During the cruise on board a Costa ship, 80 participants (male and female students, researchers and lecturers) animated an intense week of training activities, with over 70 hours of lectures, workshops, business games and project discussions, addressing the challenges of the Blue Economy through the use of innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence.

The event represented a unique opportunity for networking and professional growth, promoting interdisciplinary exchange between academia and industry, in a dynamic and stimulating environment.

The date is already set for the next edition: the III PhD and Professionals Cruise School will be held from 16 to 23 January 2026, with new training and collaboration opportunities.
