04/06/2026 Under the East Antarctic Ice Sheet, more than 3 kilometres thick in some areas, lies a vast geological structure that has remained unknown until now. It was identified by an international team coordinated by the University of Genoa, in a study published in Nature Geoscience, one of the most authoritative international scientific journals in the field of Earth Sciences.
