The 16th International Conference on Nanostructured Materials – NANO 2026, held in Genoa from 7 to 11 September, offers an opportunity to highlight the University of Genoa’s role in materials science and nanotechnology, fields that bring together chemistry, physics, engineering and technological applications.

From research to education, UniGe contributes to a Genoese ecosystem that brings together universities, research bodies and high-tech companies. The vitality of the University’s research is also demonstrated by the achievements of Federico Locardi, Paola Lova and Michele Magnozzi, researchers involved in teaching within the field of materials science and recipients, over the last three years, of grants from the Italian Science Fund (FIS).
