The smart city has emerged as a strategic process aimed at addressing the growing problems of urbanisation and, thanks to the use of the most advanced and innovative technologies, at improving the quality of life in cities, acting on economic, social and environmental aspects.

To govern this process requires training across a plurality of disciplines.

The "Smart City Planning" course responds to a growing demand for professionals and new experts capable of coordinating political and economic instances and directing the design and implementation processes of a smart city in its various components, in order to generate effective benefits for citizens, with a view to the economic, social and cultural development of the metropolitan territory.

The course, activated by the Department of Economics of the University of Genoa with the collaboration of the Genoa Smart City Association, is open to graduates in all disciplines, entrepreneurs, freelance professionals, employees of companies, organisations and administrations with

  • 10 places reserved for professionals indicated by the Associazione Genova Smart City
  • .
  • 10 places with free attendance reserved for UniGe students, on the basis of a specific ranking list
