The Department of Political and International Sciences is organising a seminar on the relationship between Catholicism and politics in post-Vatican II Genoa.

Alberto Giordano, lecturer in the History of Political Thought at the University of Genoa, and Salvatore Vento, a former CISL trade unionist and author of studies on the relationship between Catholicism and politics, will discuss the groups, figures and experiences that shaped the political and social debate in Genoa during the second half of the 1960s. The discussion will be moderated by the contemporary historian Paolo Battifora.

The event is inspired by the book “Catholic politics between reform and tradition. Groups and Figures in Post-Council Genoa".
