Michele Martelli, a lecturer in Naval Structures and Systems at the University of Genoa (UniGe), has been appointed Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Marine Engineering & Technology, one of the leading scientific journals in the field of marine engineering, published by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST).

The appointment, ratified by the association’s Publishing Supervisory Board, recognises the professor’s academic standing and his contribution to the journal’s editorial activities. Over the past three years, Michele Martelli has served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Marine Engineering & Technology and, for the past eight years, has been editor of the proceedings of the International Ship Control Systems Symposium, one of the sector’s leading international conferences.

This appointment represents a significant recognition of his scientific work and strengthens the University of Genoa’s presence in the leading international forums dedicated to naval engineering.
