The Laboratory for Entrepreneurship is a national challenge aimed at all students at Italian universities, regardless of their degree course. The aim is to stimulate creativity and bring out the best business ideas, capable of generating value and contributing to the sustainable development goals of Agenda 2030.

The initiative is promoted by The Laboratory for Entrepreneurship. The initiative is promoted by Invitalia, the National Agency for Development owned by the Ministry of the Economy, and implemented in collaboration with AIDEA (Italian Academy of Business Economics), as part of the Project Network supported by the Minister for Sport and Youth through the Department for Youth Policy and Universal Civil Service.

How does the challenge work

?

Teams of 3 to 5 under 29 are asked to develop and present a business idea in a sector of their choice. Heterogeneous teams consisting of students from different universities, courses, faculties and departments are particularly encouraged. Proposals should highlight innovation, sustainability and market potential. The route is developed in two phases:

    .
  • By 15 December, participants submit their proposal online, uploading a document of up to 20 slides on the laboratorioimprenditorialita.it website. A jury will select the most promising ideas
  • .
  • the 15 finalist teams will participate in a large national hackathon in Rome in February 2026, during which, with the support of experts, they will refine the project and present it to an evaluation jury.

Prizes and opportunities

The five winning teams will receive cash prizes and will have access to an Experience Tour at national incubators and accelerators, as well as support in applying for Invitalia calls best suited to their idea. All finalists will also be able to attend training courses on entrepreneurship and participate in networking activities at the Network Project's territorial hubs.

An opportunity to grow

The Laboratory is an opportunity to exchange ideas, experiment, learn how to work in a team and transform an idea into a concrete project. It is a bridge between universities, companies and institutions, designed to accompany young people towards the future of work and entrepreneurship.
