A patent realised by a team from the University of Genoa won the Special 'Female Entrepreneurship' Award at the Intellectual Property Award 2023, the competition aimed at universities and research organisations organised by the Ministry for Enterprise and Made in Italy.

The award ceremony took place in Rome on 30 October 2024. The award ceremony took place in Rome, on 30 October 2024, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Italian Patent and Trademark Office MIMIT.
