Alberto Diaspro, a UniGe lecturer and internationally renowned scientist, received the Grifo on the occasion of Genoa and St. George's Flag Day, in recognition of his contribution to research and Genoa's prestige.

 The Grifo is Genoa's highest civic honour and is awarded to personalities who contribute to Genoa's prestige on a national and international level.
