The new five-year project, funded under the Italian Science Fund (FIS 3) with a grant of approximately 1.3 million euros, is called DELPHI – Design of Persistent Luminescence Nanocrystals for round-the-clock photovoltaics.

Coordinated by Federico Locardi, a researcher at the University of Genoa, the project aims to develop new materials capable of capturing and storing the sun’s light energy to release it gradually over time.

Further information is available in the university magazine.
