Following the run-off vote, which concluded at 2.00 pm on 3 July 2026, Antonio Uccelli has been declared elected Rector of the University of Genoa for the term from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2032.

The 2,546 voters – comprising lecturers, students, PhD students, postgraduate students, senior staff and administrative staff – cast 942.21 weighted votes for Antonio Uccelli and 844.82 weighted votes for Michele Piana (blank ballots accounted for 37.51 per cent).
