06/12/2024 An international team of scientists from 13 countries has set off for Antarctica to collect glaciomarine sediments at the western edge of the ice sheet that will help estimate future ocean level rise.The expedition is part of the SWAIS 2C (Sensitivity of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet to an increase of 2°C) project and also counts on the participation of the University of Genoa with Laura Crispini, professor of Structural Geology and Tectonics.More information can be found at INGV National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology.(Photo credits: INGV).
