Prof. Lorenzo Schiano di Pepe has been appointed member of theIHO-IAG Advisory Board on the Law of the Sea (ABLOS), established by the International Hydrographic Organization and the International Association of Geodesy.

The candidature of Prof. Schiano di Pepe, full professor of the Department of Law of UniGe and former holder of the Jean Monnet Chair "International and European Law of the Sea", was submitted by the Italian Hydrographic Institute of the Navy.

This is an important result for our country and confirms a significant appreciation at national and international level of the legal studies in the maritime field carried out by the Genoa School.
