On July 23, 2020, in the presence of the Minister of University and Research Gaetano Manfredi, a collaboration agreement was signed between the Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE S.p.A.) a public company that promotes sustainable development in Italy through the promotion of renewable sources and energy efficiency and the Conferenza dei Rettori delle Università Italiane (CRUI), the Association that represents and coordinates the Italian university system.

The agreement was promoted by the Rete delle Università per lo Sviluppo sostenibile (RUS) and provides for the promotion of the culture of environmental sustainability, energy efficiency and the use of renewable sources in universities through research, training and technological development projects.
