Researchers Alessio Merlo and Antonio Ruggia of the University of Genoa with Simone Aonzo, Dario Nisi and Andrea Possemato of EURECOM, have identified new vulnerabilities in Android, the most popular operating system for mobile devices; these allow for a phishing attack that can steal user credentials (login and password) from any installed application and on any version of the operating system developed so far.
