Enrico Testa

The Collegio degli Accademici della Crusca has appointed Prof. Enrico Testa among the new Italian Corresponding Academicians.

Enrico Testa is full professor of History of the Italian Language at the University of Genoa, a discipline he previously taught at the University for Foreigners in Siena. A linguist and literary critic, Testa is also a leading contemporary poet.

With the appointment of Prof. Testa, the academic body of the Crusca is now composed of 48 Ordinary Academicians, 20 Italian Corresponding Academicians, 30 foreign Corresponding Academicians and 2 Honorary Academicians (Sergio Mattarella and Giorgio Napolitano).
