Published in the prestigious journal Cell the study of a research team ofLa Jolla Institute for Immunology in San Diego, led by Alessandro Sette of the University of California, in collaboration with the group of Professor Gilberto Filaci, Director of the Unit of Biotherapies of IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino in Genoa and Professor of Technical Sciences of Medicine and Laboratory at the University of Genoa.


The research, analyzing the response of T cells against all variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus identified so far, has for the first time demonstrated that they do not reduce the immune response provided by Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, Novavax vaccines, which remains durable and effective even six months after vaccination.


A young Italian researcher,Alba Grifoni, and the American Dr.Alison Tarke, enrolled in thePhD program in Clinical and Experimental Immunology at the University of Genoa, have participated in the study with an important role.
