Change Genova

With the Strategic Plan 2021-2026 UniGe has made explicit its adherence to the 2030 Agenda and identified sustainability as one of the five strategic lines guiding the development of its institutional missions, together with digitalization and innovation, inclusion, internationalization and quality.

By presenting the Climate Strategy to the Board of Directors (on January 27, 2022), UniGe has also made a strong and explicit commitment against climate change and defined its own precise climate strategy that aims at neutrality within the 2030 time horizon.

As Prof. Adriana Del Borghi, UniGe Vice Chancellor for Sustainability, explains, the University of Genoa, as an adhering institution to the United Nations' global Race To Zero for Universities and colleges campaign, will need to develop an action plan to achieve Climate Neutrality within three years of the implementation start date and include timelines and milestones to reach the goals as soon as possible.
