Dante

On the occasion of the seventh centenary of Dante Alighieri's death, the University of Genoa proposes the exhibition Dante and Liguria. Manuscripts and Images of the Middle Ages, curated by Gianluca Ameri (UniGe lecturer in History of Medieval Art), Marco Berisso (UniGe lecturer in Philology of Italian Literature) and Giustina Olgiati (Genoa State Archives).

The exhibition displays, for the first time, all the manuscripts and fragments of Dante's codices preserved in Liguria, or made for Ligurian patrons, or arrived later, through the ways of collecting and the book market.


When?

Inauguration September 16, opening from September 17 to December 10, 2021.
