Also this year the Library of the School of Humanities of the University of Genoa is participating in "Libri salvati", the annual review of public readings promoted by the Italian Library Association to stigmatize censorship and remember a sad chapter in history.

On the night of 10 May 1933, at the height of a vast campaign to "cleanse" German culture by fire, Berlin and the main cities of Germany were illuminated by gigantic pyres of thousands of books(Bücherverbrennungen).

UniGe, thanks to the passion and artistic talents of affectionate friends of the Library of the School of Humanities, has made a video to remember those tragic events.
