COASIT 2024 Program

Call for Italian language teaching assistants at Australian primary and secondary schools (State of Victoria)

The purpose of the program is to jointly pair the local teacher with an Italian graduate able to bring to the Australian school the contemporary Italian language and culture.

Period of activity: from mid-April to mid-December 2024.

Requirements for participation

Master's degree awarded in a course from the following fields: Humanities and Philosophy, Modern Languages and Literatures, and Education Sciences
English language proficiency
Age not older than 30 years as of March 31, 2024 (not having turned 31)
Italian citizenship

Convocation of interviews

The interviews will be held online, via Microsoft Teams Platform, on Wednesday, October 25 from 9.30 onwards and will end by 1 p.m.For any needs: tel 010 2099675 - e-mail bandi.placement@unige.it WARNING: during the week from October 23 to October 27, the site will be under maintenance and no changes will be possible. Any communication referring to the interviews will be sent via email.

Contributions Provided

Bursary worth 1045.00$A gross per week paid by COASIT (disbursed every two weeks)
Bursary having maximum amount of 1.000 euros (the amount of the scholarship may not exceed the travel expenses actually incurred), to only winners who have graduated not more than three years (on the date of submission of the application for participation in the pre-selection) who, have regularly completed the activity and with ISEE indicator not exceeding 35.000 euros.

The COASIT (Italian Assistance Committee) of Melbourne - Australia is a moral entity that has been working in the welfare and education sector for over 30 years under an agreement signed with the Ministry of Education and the Catholic Education Office of the State of Victoria.
