The University of Genoa’s Listening Centre – approved by the University’s governing bodies on 22 November 2024 and operational from 10 February 2025 - supports and strengthens the network of bodies dedicated to protecting the university community and to promoting wellbeing, with the specific aim of combating all forms of discrimination, harassment, abuse or gender-based violence within the academic environment.

Aimed at students, technical and administrative staff, library staff, lecturers and researchers, the Listening Centre offers one-to-one consultations in a safe space, where you can find a listening ear, support and information following incidents of violence that you have experienced, perpetrated or witnessed. 
It also provides initial guidance and information on legal aspects and the most appropriate ways to contact the relevant authorities, university bodies and the network of local services (anti-violence centres, centres for men who abuse).
