OBIETTIVI FORMATIVI

The aim of the course is to give a methodology for the design of a control law for multivariable linear time invariant systems (MIMO LTI systems)

PROGRAMMA/CONTENUTO

  • Introduction  
  • Review of the problem of control and regulation of dynamic systems (mandatory prerequisite (*))
  • State feedback stabilization 
  • State estimations
  • Control/Regulation Schemes and Synthesis Thechniques
  • Optimal Control
  • Discussion of practical examples

(*) Students without a good background in Systems' Theory, and Classical Automatic Control will require the acquisition of these *fundamental* contents: state space formulation of linear time invariant dynamic systems (LTI, LSI), transfer functions, structural properties of LTI/LSI systems, sampling theorem, Nyquist stability criterion, roor locus method, open-loop/closed-loop frequency response analysis.
