OVERVIEW

The teaching aims to provide the technical and methodological knowledge that allows to set up a project of the building envelope in BIM (Building Information Modeling). The following topics are explored: building envelope components, contemporary technological solutions; preparation of the main graphic drawings of the building envelope in BIM.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The teaching aims to provide students with the technical and methodological knowledge that will enable them to carry out a project of the building envelope in a digital BIM environment. Knowledge required by the construction sector in the contemporary national and international context.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The teaching of Digitalisation of the project is structured in such a way as to provide students with the following competences:

- knowledge of "traditional" and innovative technologies useful for a building envelope project;

- ability to understand, analyse and design building elements and entire constructions where project digitisation is required in BIM (Building Information Modeling);

- ability to understand and execute basic graphic representations of a building envelope project in BIM (Building Information Modeling).

The teaching consists of lectures and practical activities.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The discipline of Digitization Projects investigates the following main aspects:

- Construction materials insights;

- Elements for contemporary constructions insights;

- Requirements and performance for contemporary constructions;

- Examination of the basics of two-dimensional drawing in the Autodesk - Autocad;

- Deepening of the concept of "project engineering";

- Application of all the previous topics to a building envelope project in BIM (Building Information Modeling).

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The oral test consists of questions on the on the topics of the lectures to verify the acquisition of skills related to the aspects of digitization of the building envelope project, in terms of technological solutions and characteristics required in an actual project. In particular, the student's assessment is based on specific questions of the different topics covered, proposing detailed "applications" of materials, construction techniques and technological solutions. The student will have to demonstrate to have acquired satisfactory knowledge of the teaching topics.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The oral test consists of questions on the elaboration of the envelope project developed during the exercise and on the topics of the frontal lessons in order to verify the acquisition of competences related to the aspects of digitisation of the building envelope project in terms of technological solutions and required characteristics. In particular, the assessment of the student is based on specific questions of the different topics covered, proposing detailed "applications" of materials, construction techniques and technological solutions. The student must also demonstrate that he/she has acquired satisfactory knowledge of the use of project digitisation.
