The course provides professional preparation for teaching mathematics in secondary school. Moreover, it provides a first approach to research in mathematics education. The course introduces theoretical tools for the design, implementation and analysis of class activities.
The course provides a theoretical framing for the teaching and learning processes.
Students will learn how to designm carry out and analyze teaching activities, critically consider textbooks and online resources, communicate mathematical content in a proper way to a specialist or non-specialist audience.
