AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course is divided in two parts. Students will follow practical French language lessons during the 1st semester (40 hours). In the second semester, “Modulo teorico” lessons (36 hours) will concentrate on lexical, morphosyntaxical and phonetic difficulties for Italian speakers and speakers of other languages belonging to the class. All the lessons will be contextualized in a touristic setting, through the use of authentic material (especially websites). Communication skills such as face to face verbal interaction, telephone conversation, use of the Internet and e-mail, as well as the ability to understand and produce short and simple specialized texts will be developed.

Course description

The course is divided in two parts. In the second part, the central theme will be memory tourism in connection with war.

All the lessons will be contextualized in a touristic setting, through the use of authentic material (especially websites). Communication skills such as face-to-face verbal interaction, telephone conversation, use of the Internet and e-mail, as well as the ability to understand and produce short and simple specialized texts will be developed.

Oral exam will test oral production and specific knowledge and abilities acquired during the second part of the course. Students will be required to prepare an individual or group work.
