AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

To deepen the knowledge related to biomaterials in all their aspects, to the tutors for all ages concerning the biomechanical approach and to the procedures with which the orthopedic technician applies, measures and tests the patient's tutor. Acquire knowledge of the company's organization of orthopedic techniques.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The teaching aims to provide students with the basics in the field of materials used in the field of orthopedic technique, a general understanding of the material technical sheets to introduce the issues related to the mechanics of bodies and to make students acquire the ability to design orthopedic devices by selecting and dimensioning the material according to the necessary characteristics

At the end of the course, the student will be able to know the composition, structure and characteristics of the materials, recognize strengths and weaknesses of the materials, critically evaluate the technical sheets of the materials for the sizing of the devices, design and build tailor-made medical devices, analytically describe the components of prostheses and orthoses
