AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course, the student should be able to describe the main diagnostic tools used to study the physiology and vascular pathology of the Central Nervous System and to explicate the main practical applications.

TEACHING METHODS

All lessons include a theoretical section and a practical part, mainly centered on ultrasonic diagnostics both on the normal and on the patient affected by vascular disesae, as they take place directly in the Neurosynology Laboratory

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Basic notions on brain circulation

Anatomy and Physiology of Brain Circulation

Main diagnostic tools used in clinical practice

Description of the main circulatory disorders of the Brain

Main use of different diagnostic tools (Neuroimaging, Neurosynology) in vascular diseases.

RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY
